Each filter colour has a Visible Light Transmission (VLT) figure, which indicates the percentage of light passing through the filter. A low value will block more light from entering the eye; a high value allows more light into the eye. You should avoid a VLT% that is too dark for your needs for safety reasons.

Clinical Studies have shown that the shortwave ultra violet and blue light could have a damaging effect on our vision if allowed to pass through the lens of the eye and on to the retina. The Glareshield range filters out potentially harmful light rays with 100% UV protection.

The amber/orange filter has the potential to improve contrast and reduce glare.

The premium range consists of three frame styles, Sports Rx Wraparound, Aviator and Retro Rx Wraparound. All of these styles are designed to be worn without prescription spectacles. The Rx styles contain a removable insert which can be taken to an optician to incorporate your prescription.
