HOW TO BUY ONLINE
For general and retail sales simply click on the desired department, range and product,
then complete the order and payment fields - it's as simple as that!
Prices shown on this site are for retail customers. Trade customers can order online, but this will not include any discount that has been set up on your account. If a discount has been agreed please phone, fax or email your order in the usual way.
For Overseas Customers: please e-mail or telephone us before placing your order for total costs, including postage and packing.
Once we have received confirmation of your order and credit card payment from Worldpay, we will e-mail you to advise of approximate delivery date.
If you have claimed VAT exemption because you have a severe untreatable visual impairment we will send with your order a VAT form to complete and return. To qualify for 0% VAT you must return this form to us. It is a legal requirement; we have no option but to charge VAT
if this certificate is not completed and returned.
Of course, if you prefer we can accept your order by post or telephone.
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE
- All goods will remain the property of Optima Low Vision Services Ltd until paid for in full.
- Payment must be made with order. We accept credit card payments online, and cheques or Postal Orders by post.
We can also accept telephone payments by credit card.
- We cannot accept online payments for orders to be sent outside the UK.
- For retail customers, postage & packing for mainland UK is free of charge.
- Deliveries outside UK mainland will be charged at cost and then added to the total shown at checkout.
- Please allow 7 working days from date of order for delivery.
- All product specifications are taken from individual manufacturers literature.
Optima Low Vision Services Ltd cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies.
Manufacturers reserve the right to alter specifications to improve their products.
- Optima Low Vision Services Ltd reserve the right to adjust prices quoted on this site.
We will contact you by e-mail to advise of any price change before processing an order.
- VAT must be paid on all Low Vision Aids unless purchased by a severely visually impaired person with a permanent eye conditon, for their
domestic and personal use, or is being purchased for them out of charitable funds by a registered charity.
In both cases a completed declaration of eligibility for zero rated VAT must be supplied to Optima Low Vision Services Ltd
with each order, otherwise VAT will automatically be charged. Please note: VAT cannot be deducted in retrospect.
- Task Lighting, Magnifying Mirrors, TV Screens and certain other goods are NOT ELIGIBLE for VAT exemption and the site will not deduct the VAT from the checkout total.
Please seek advice before claiming exemption. It is a serious offence to make a false declaration.
- VAT will be charged at rate ruling on day of dispatch.
- We will exchange or refund the cost of items returned within 14 days. Returned items must reach us in a re-saleable condition and in their original packaging. Customers are responsible for the postage cost of returned items.
- If goods are not returned in a resealeable condition we may charge a restocking and administration fee of £6.00 for each item returned.
- Customers must notify Optima of any damaged items on day of receipt.
- Credit notes issued by Optima are valid for one calendar year from date of issue.
